President and Chief Executive Officer
Patricia Newson has served as Chief Executive Officer of AltaGas Utility Group Inc. since its inception. Patricia Newson joined AltaGas Income Trust (then AltaGas Services Inc.) as Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer in June 1996. In 1998 Ms. Newson became Senior Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of AltaGas Income Trust. From September 1995 until joining AltaGas Income Trust, Ms. Newson acted as Manager Strategic Planning at B.C. Hydro and Power Authority. Prior to this position, she worked for five years as an independent consultant to several businesses including BC Hydro and BC Gas Ltd. Her energy industry experience includes corporate and regulatory reporting during several restructurings with Gulf Canada, GW Utilities and Olympia and York Enterprises. Ms. Newson holds a B.Comm. (distinction) in accounting and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.
President, AltaGas Utilities Inc.
Earle Tuele has served as President of AltaGas Utilities Inc. since March 2006. Mr. Tuele joined the company that was the predecessor to AltaGas Utilities in 1979 and served in various operational capacities before becoming Vice-President, Operating Services in November, 2005, a position he held until his appointment to President. Prior to joining what is now AltaGas Utilities, Mr. Tuele served in technical, construction, and operations functions for eight years with Northern and Central Gas Corporation, which is now part of Union Gas Ltd. Mr. Tuele holds degrees as a B.A. (Economics) and an MBA, both from the University of Alberta.
Vice President Controller and Corporate Secretary
Jared Green joined the Corporation in November 2007 as Director Strategic Development. In June 2008 Mr. Green became Controller of the Corporation and became Vice President Controller and Corporate Secretary of the Corporation in January 2009. Prior to joining the Corporation, Mr. Green had eight years of progressive experience in corporate reporting, accounting and risk management at public and private companies listed on both the Toronto and New York stock exchanges. Mr. Green holds a B.Comm. (distinction) in accounting, a B.A. in economics and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.
